Located on the back bay in Ocean Springs, MS. I recommend eating here at dusk, you can watch the sunset from your table. Once you are seated biscuits and cole slaw are delivered to your table. The biscuits are awesome, there is a large stock of honey on your table to add to the biscuits. The cole slaw was average. There are only several entree options on the menu fried chicken, fried shrimp and fried catfish. The fried shrimp and catfish come in all you can eat or you can order plates with a choice of yams or French fries. On our recent trip my wife ordered the large shrimp plate and I got the country fried chicken plate. Not trying to be negative but I could think of after eating was how greasy the food was. The chicken I ordered was not cooked to order because it came out shortly after we ordered, usually 2 chicken breasts take at least 15 minutes to fry. I shrimp were okay but they were a grease bomb. Makes me wonder how fresh they were???? The location, biscuits, and good wait staff hence the 3 star review are great but the food quality has declined over the years in my opinion (2 stars). My thoughts are if you only have 3 items on your menu then you should master it! Maybe it was an off day??? There are new other choices in the area for fried shrimp and chicken. I won't come back unless the reviews get better!

I don't eat a lot of seafood where I'm from. Seafood isn't the specialty there like it is here. I really enjoyed the fried shrimp and catfish. My children enjoyed it too. The gumbo was great and the fried okra was tasty also!!!

Adorable ambience and location. Little old house on the bayou with lovely views. Limited menu, but scrumptious fried shrimp and catfish. Just what we were looking for!!

We've called Aunt Jenny's two days in a row to feed our film production crew and everyone was extremely happy with their food. Ronnie and his team are true professionals and the food was delicious! We're fans and will always use them.

Picturesque spot with tasty vittles. The gumbo fries are a neat idea but they didn't do it for us. Everything else was well great. We were also pleasantly surprised with the comfort and skill in helping our wheelchair bound visitor navigate through the restaraunt. They know how to use their ramp and service with a smile!

Amazing catfish and shrimp. This is good old fashioned seafood. Hidden gem. No frills, just great food!

Aunt Jenny's is a local haunt - the place to go to for fried catfish and shrimp. I always get the half and half plate, and you always have the option of upgrading to all-you-can eat for a buck or so more, so don't order all-you-can-eat right off the bat. The restaurant overlooks a private dock so that makes for a nice view. The restaurant itself is spacious, but it is lacking in upkeep. Some of the chairs are falling apart and they - along with the tables - are quite sticky from whatever varnish they used. The food can be hit or miss. When it hits, it's really good. When it misses, it's never bad, just not as good as on its best days. Overall though, a decent meal for a reasonable price. It's one of the places I go to every few months or so.

The food was excellent! I wouldn't order the all you can eat because they give you so much food with the regular order, it's more than enough. Biscuits are homemade and so yummy! Shrimp was very fresh. I had baked sweet potato as my side and seriously best sweet potato I have ever had. If you are in Biloxi you have to try this place! Service was great too! Only thing is there is no warning about how spicy hot the hushpuppies are, I think they have jalapeno peppers in them so watch out for that.

Quick service. Smaller selection menu, but nice variety of southern flavors. Small, large and all you can eat portion sizes for fried shrimp, fried catfish and southern fried chicken. View of the bayou. Prices were reasonable. We had nice dinner.

The food is fantastic- actually the best shrimp we have found to date in Biloxi. Even though we were hesitant to try pond raised shrimp, especially following the Biloxi shrimping tour where only wild caught shrimp is reinforced. Shrimp was butterflied and deep fried perfectly. Be sure to read the history and watch for the shadowy figures behind you ;)

Aunt Jenny's was a highlight on this trip to Biloxi. I see some other reviews say the shrimp were small or frozen. However, My shrimp were large fresh and Delicious. The food was piping hot when it came to the table. The catfish was cooked well but I have decided that I personally am not a fan of the way catfish tastes. Everyone else at the table loved their catfish so I'm sure that was just a preference issue for me. Also I loved the hush puppies and didn't find it to be spicy. The fries were average. The fried dill pickles were great. I would defiantly recommend Aunt Jenny's.

I grew up in Ocean Springs, so I am biased. I drove with some co-workers and we ordered the all you can eat shrimp/catfish plate. It has been 20 years since I left the Coast and the price has not changed or the taste. The only change I have noticed is the glassware went from aluminum cups to plastic glasses. I would recommend anyone driving though Ocean Springs stop in and enjoy the food and beautiful view of the bayou.

When I visited the Gulf coast 10 years ago I frequented Aunt Jenny's. I was told the business didn't make it through Katrina....glad the report was wrong! Aunt Jenny's is pretty much like I remember it. I got the large combo plate instead of the AYCE and it was enough for me. Didn't want to over do it! I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, but I'm pretty picky about slaw..... The biscuits where kind of "doughy" so I didn't care for them either But the highlight...the catfish and shrimp did not disappoint. Fresh, hot, and a nice serving size. The staff was very friendly! They do have a weird rule about sharing the shrimp --- you eat shrimp, you pay shrimp prices. I understand that rule for the all you can eat plates. But if I'm paying for a large plate and I didn't eat it all....took the left overs home and gave them away.....what is the difference than letting someone taste a couple shrimp?? I guess a few bad apples have abused the All you can eat special and instead of trying to monitor who ordered AYCE and who ordered large plates they came up with that policy (it's actually written in the menu).

We really liked this place. Hostess worked to find us a table looking over the bayou that wasn't in the sun. Service was very quick and the food was great. I had the catfish entree and my wife the shrimp. Plenty of food, well prepared and tasty. Prices were very reasonable and portions large enough that we sure didn't need to upgrade to "all you can eat".

I found aunt Jenny's extremely dated on our last visit. Interior was filthy, carpet seemed to stick to your shoes and whats up with the sticky tables? We were seated upstairs where there seemed to be a musty or mildewy smell. Waitresses are made up of high school kids which I dont fault them for but seem to lack any real experience. I ordered AYCE catfish and partner ordered the shrimp, I found more cornmeal breading than fish on my frozen fillets. My partners shrimp were ok not large fresh gulf shrimp as described in other reviews and definately frozen also. For the money we spent here we woulda been much happier at the casino's.

It's like having dinner at your Aunt Jenny's house circa 1983 or earlier (in 1985, it was like having dinner at your Aunt Jenny's house ca. 1963-ish), which is kinda fun, but overall, this place is only pretty good. It's an experience, if nothing else. It's bustling and there's always a lot going on. I can't say that the food is anything special, because it's average on its best day. After you have a very mediocre meal there, hop on over to The Julep Room for music and drinks. I don't mind saying that I've had some "interesting" times there.

We were on vacation and on recommendation we decided to eat here. I had the shrimp creole tasted great, my family all had the fried Chicken they said it was good. The only thing that made me give a mediocre review was the service. We waited for a waiter for 40 minutes before he came to get our drink orders. Then it was a waiting game again to get refills. It wasn't a particularly packed house so I can't see why service was so slow.

Fried catfish brought to the table 2 minutes after we put our order in. Not hot. Food tasted good but NOTHING is made to order. I imagined TRAYS of PREfried catfish all sitting under some lame heat lamp. Hush puppy had good flavor. If only it had been made fresh and hot. Coleslaw thing has a spoon that is too short, requiring you to put your hand inside the crock.

Beautiful view! Hometown feel. Selection alright but food was overly greasy and very heavy. I am from the south so maybe I am picky but I have had much better seafood. I didn't want to even finish my plate.

This place has that quaint country feel, all wood floors and walls. Their fried shrimp are amazing! They catfish is good, too. The portions are huge! They serve sweet potatoes, too, which I love! I've gone several times and would go again!

Enjoyed a beautiful view of sunset over the bayou while eating dinner here. When in doubt about where to eat, go where the locals go. They have the best fried shrimp in Ocean Springs and with the all-you-can-eat special you can enjoy as much as you want if you're hungry. They were very busy, but we were seated promptly, had good service, and hot food. Family - style environment. Highly recommend.... Let me say again--best gulf shrimp!

I loved this place! Awesome views. Friendly, Accommodating staff. The menu is simple and rightfully so. They know how to cook catfish and shrimp! The fried green tomatoes are better than my momma's! Don't tell her....

I grew up in Ocean Springs but moved away 15 years ago. If I listed ten things I miss about the coast, Aunt Jenny's would be one of them. I recently planned a visit back home, and I was dreaming about their catfish for months before my trip. When I finally got there, Aunt Jenny did not disappoint. Their fried catfish is incredibly good, and the biscuits are ridiculous. My only complaint is that they stopped serving their iced tea in metal cups, but I hear it was to give the waitresses a break from running around for constant refills. (I say put a pitcher of tea on the table to solve this problem.) Writing this review makes me wish I had a plate of catfish and hushpuppies right now. Go to Aunt Jenny's when you get a chance. It's quaint and delicious!

Our lunch on a Friday at 12:30 was surprisingly disappointing. The interior of the restaurant is pleasant and the waitstaff is good. The food however left much to be desired. The biscuits we were served were obviously leftovers from the day before, chewy and clearly not fresh. On the plus side, they were homemade, not canned or from a mix, so if you get them fresh they are probably pretty good. I ordered the Gunny plate with catfish and shrimp, my fiancee ordered the fried chicken. When the plates arrived, I appreciated the freshly fried catfish, made from small fillets, not the large and overly moist farm raised fillets you normally see, which I think taste better. I was disappointed however by being served shrimp that clearly had been fried the day before. One of my shrimp was room temperature. The hush puppies were OK, but they have jalapeno in them, and the menu doesn't claim that they are hot, so be warned. The crust was a bit too thick on them for my taste but that's just a personal quibble. My fiancee's chicken was OK, but tasted like the frying oil had been used just a few too many times...nothing burnt or foul, but just an off flavor that made the chicken taste too much like everything else that had been fried before it. Given the rather high price for deep fried food here, being served leftovers was really a let down. Perhaps if you go for dinner once they have re-served all of the previous days food you can get a plate of completely fresh food. But I don't recommend the place for lunch. NOTE: If you are going north up 609 to get to the restaurant, you will have to take a right at the sign before you get over the bridge, then drive underneath the bridge to get to the restaurant.

This was one of the first places I ate when I moved to the Coast. I went their for dinner and ordered the AYCE catfish/shrimp combo (** stars) This time around I just had the Gunny plate (** stars) the catfish was ok (*** stars) but the shrimp were small for being on the Coast. Also the biscuits were cold and hard... Just not what I was hoping for...

the catfish was really good and the biscuits were easily the best that I have ever had in a restaurant. The view out the back of the restaurant over the water in the afternoon was beautiful.

Casual atmosphere with a view across the back bayou. I've been back multiple times and find the food consistently good. Reasonably priced. The waitresses are very polite and usually attend very closely. Of the many times we've visited, we've only had one instance where the waitress that wasn't so - however, all the rest have been outstanding. Fried chicken, catfish, and shrimp are as good as it gets.

This is the place to go if you like overpriced, frozen, small shrimp. Don't waste your time or money!

My daughter and I decided to try Aunt Jenny's after seeing some good reviews of the restaurant. We ordered the catfish/shrimp combo (all-you-can-eat). We should have not ordered the all-you-can-eat and just ordered the large order, we barely finished one plate. The catfish was very thin filets, mostly of flour & very little fish. (had better at "The Isle" Casino buffet. The shrimp was very small & not tasty at all. The fries vere average. The biscuits were very, very dry & even with adding butter & jelly did not help, had much better biscuits at Cracker Barrel. My daughter finished only about 1/4 of her biscuit. When the waitress asked were we ready for more fish & shrimp, we told her no thanks, we're full (I'm a 300 lb + man & I was done on one plate). When we got our ticket, no down adjustment on price to a large order versus all-you-can-eat that we clearly did not do. We won't be back again nor try any other locally owned restaurant establishment ever again on the Mississippi Gulf Coast (this was our last waste of money; White Cap, McElroy's, Jocelyn's, now Aunt Jenny's). One exception: Half Shell Oyster House, thumbs up!!
